Synergy International Systems is excited to announce that it will be taking the development and implementation of Rwanda Integrated Electronic Case Management System (IECMS) to the next level. In the upcoming months, Synergy will be developing the Automated Court Performance Monitoring & Evaluation components of the system.
The system is envisioned by the Judiciary of Rwanda, supported by USAID Duteze Imbere Ubutabera (USAID DIU), and will be implemented by Synergy in partnership with Chemonics. It will further support the promotion of the justice sector’s efforts in embracing a culture of improvement and accomplishing transparency.
Synergy’s Automated Court Performance Management System will enable the Judiciary to track and visualize its entire results framework. Moreover, the system will be integrated with Rwanda IECMS to link indicators to activities and achievements for case specific information.
The new platform will provide the Judiciary of Rwanda with a complete toolset to track progress and enhance court performance, thus further improving the effectiveness of Rwanda’s judicial system.
Over the past years, Synergy has successfully developed and implemented the Rwanda IECMS, the award-winning Case Management System that is digitizing the country’s entire justice sector. Integrating five institutions of the justice sector in Rwanda (Investigation, Prosecution, Judiciary, Correctional Services, and the Ministry of Justice), as well as the Military Justice, Rwanda IECMS is a modern, paperless system operated by professionals in the justice sector and public stakeholders – citizens and their representatives – who have filed cases in courts.
“We are proud to continue our involvement in the further improvement of Rwanda’s judicial system,” says Dr. Ashot Hovanesian, Synergy’s CEO and Founder.
