In a significant step towards judicial digitalization, the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal of Ghana are set to transition to a fully paperless system. This transformation will be achieved through the implementation of a cutting-edge Case Management System (CMS), a project led by Synergy International Systems, Inc. (Synergy) in partnership with Ghanaian technology firm ModPay.
The newly signed contract marks a major milestone in Ghana’s judicial modernization efforts, aiming to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accessibility within the country’s highest courts. Powered by Synergy eCase, the CMS will introduce an end-to-end electronic working process, enabling digital case filing, automated case tracking, electronic judgment pronouncement, and streamlined management of court proceedings.
With this initiative, the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal will significantly reduce reliance on paper-based processes, allowing for faster case resolution, improved document security, and better access to legal information for all stakeholders. By leveraging advanced technology, the judiciary will be better equipped to handle cases efficiently, reducing delays and enhancing overall judicial performance.
