Measuring and managing performance is essential to the efficiency and effectiveness of a judiciary system. It helps align teams, resources, and efforts within a single court and across other related agencies with the main strategic objective – to build a modern, efficient, fair, and transparent system.
In judiciary systems, performance is generally monitored through a combination of case related statistics and staff performance evaluations. Case statistics are usually tracked through case management system tools based on well-known industry standards. However, staff performance evaluations are traditionally monitored through HR tools, and often do not contribute meaningfully to organizational strategy execution. This is why we developed the Judiciary Performance Management System (JPMS), so that courts could leverage technology to monitor and analyze their performance at both the individual and institutional level, ultimately achieving their mission – to improve the justice system and build a peaceful, just society.
