Implemented in a variety of development contexts. The Development Partner Profile (DPP) and the Sector Profile (SP) applications allow users to view, analyze and report on aid efforts by development partner or by sector, thus enabling strategic analysis of aid effectiveness at the level of development partners and sectors.
Key Features and Capabilities
Tracking Development Partner & Sector Activities: The DPP application displays consolidated portfolios of development partners, allowing users to view such information as a development partner’s financial contribution (pledges, commitments, disbursements,), activities by sector or region, contact information, and key documents (terms of reference, project evaluations reports, etc.). The SP application provides a consolidated view of all development activities in a given sector (education, health, etc). |
Accessing Complete Picture of Aid: The DPP application contains data on all aid modalities, including emergency funds, pooled funds, trust funds, as well as project-specific assistance, thus enabling users to see all development partner aid activities. The SP application aggregates financial information, key performance indicators (KPIs), or any other value by sector, and enables the analysis of Sector Wide Approaches (SWAps) to aid. Together with the core DAD (which tracks and manages data on aid projects), the DPP and SP applications provide a complete picture of all aid delivered to a recipient country. |
Conducting Strategic Analysis: enable users to conduct strategic analysis of development partner or sectoral aid activities and to make informed planning decisions by identifying gaps, duplication of efforts, delays in aid flows, and priority areas. The DPP and SP applications empower users to assess development partner responsiveness and effectiveness and the alignment of development projects with national priorities. |
Producing Analytical Reports, Charts, and Maps: users can create sophisticated and user-friendly reports, charts, and maps to support informed decision-making. The analytical modules (Report, Chart, and Map) are integrated into the main DAD system, providing a consistent user-interface. |
Querying Data: enables users to conduct on-demand querying and retrieve critical information on development partners or sectors, or by any other combination of variables. | |
