We have implemented a wide-variety of solutions for building public health capacity to coordinate, track and administer integrated clinical services at the national, regional and local levels in the NIS and in Central America.

We have delivered pharmaceutical supply and information database solutions for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS/Tuberculosis/Malaria, the World Health Organization, and in partnership with Management Sciences for Health, for USAID in support of their global HIV/AIDS program (PEPFAR).

We have also developed numerous web portals for promoting public health collaboration and knowledge management, as in Eurasia with the American International Health Alliance.

Featured public health solutions include:

National Health Information Management System for Honduras

Under a contract with the Pan-American Health Organization, Synergy has developed an integrated health management system for the Ministry of Health of Honduras. The system presents national level health statistics and epidemiological indicators for monitoring and analyzing morbidity and mortality trends in general, as well as by specific infectious and non-communicable diseases. The solution is divided into two phases: Phase One provides for the development and installation of the PC version of the system in local hospitals and primary health care units for registration and recording of patient information; Phase Two provides for the centralized analytical Web version of the system for consolidating and reporting on health indicators and statistics at the national level.

Management Sciences for Health Commodities Tracking Tool

Synergy partnered with Management Sciences for Health (MSH) to produce an HIV/AIDS Commodities Tracking Tool (CTT). This pharmaceuticals management activity was funded by USAID and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The tool tracks requests for funding and expenditures for pharmaceuticals and other commodities for HIV/AIDS relief and related donor activities. The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria

Synergy developed and delivered for the Global Fund a Pharmaceutical Price Reporting Mechanism for managing pharmaceutical procurements by the various implementing agencies. This Web-based data repository is used to catalogue HIV/AIDS drugs being provided to targeted developing countries by the three major HIV/AIDS donor initiatives (i.e. the Global Fund, the World Bank, and the U.S. PEPFAR program). This reporting mechanism captures prices paid for pharmaceuticals procured with donor resources, among other key pieces of information.

American International Health Alliance (AIHA)

Since 1992, AIHA has established and managed partnerships and programs that improve the health status of individuals and communities in the Newly Independent States and Central and Eastern Europe. Synergy developed and implemented a bi-lingual Web portal and Web accessible database systems for AIHA and its global affiliates, which provide dynamic content management directly via the Portal, collaboration tools, a monitoring and evaluation subsystem, as well as enhanced database search and analytical capabilities. Synergy customized its IDM suite and Portal software to deliver this solution.
