Key Features and Capabilities

  • Case Tracking
Online Data Entry capabilities allow users to enter new case records and also update and save existing case records. Records can be accessed individually through the List View or through My Portfolio for viewing the details of a specific case record.
  • E-Forms
Synergy’s e-Forms tool allows users to customize the type of form they want to use. For example, if specific court filing documents are required at the initiation of a case record, the workflow component will ask the user to first create the appropriate document in order to move forward. Using the case-related data already entered, the user can automatically populate the customized form with the relevant data fields using e-Forms. This reduces the data entry burden and expedites the document filing process. It is done instantly, at the click of a button, and the user can proceed to the next stage of the workflow.
  • Workflow Management
The processes and workflows of a case management system will be unique to each individual court. That is why it is essential to have an integrated tool for business process automation. A workflow tool expedites the process by helping to clearly define stages, roles, and permissions. The workflow tool can send email notifications and alerts, and will help to put control of court processes in the hands of the people who run the court.
  • Scheduling
An important aspect of any case management system is managing case loads, scheduling, and measuring the time between case filing and disposition. To facilitate this, and to provide the ability to analyze court performance, data entry forms will allow users to associate dates with each step of the workflow process. With this capacity, notifications and workflow steps can be set for user-defined dates, and reports can be filtered or sorted by date.
  • Case Evaluation
The Case Management System offers all of the functionalities of IDM technology, including online data entry and analytical reporting, charts and GIS maps. Reporting from the Case Management System will enable users to monitor the efficiency of the Courts, and observe trends over time, to see if the Courts are becoming more efficient. Tracking performance standards brings accountability, increases public trust and confidence, and enhances the rule of law.
